While Silsbee has a small town feel, it has access to amenities normally associated with communities twice its size, due to the regional draw from rural communities to the north and east.  Additionally, Silsbee is located within a half hour of a large city which has major amenities, such as shopping malls, restaurants, entertainment, medical specialties and a trauma center.


The City of Silsbee PTA (Primary Trade Area) is large in geographic terms, and is approximately 24 miles from north to south and 13 miles from east to west (over 312 square miles), and encompasses the east-northeast portion of Hardin County. The City of Silsbee is the most important city and commerce center within Hardin

County and the large delineated PTA reflects the significance of Silsbee as a semi-regional retail hub


Silsbee is ready for business. The City of Silsbee and its Primary Trade Area (PTA) have experienced continued growth for the past decade and are projected to continue this healthy path of growth to well beyond the year 2020. According to ESRI Forecasts, the 2011 PTA estimated population was expected to increase to roughly 28,440 by the year 2016.
