An annual Pumpkin Patch, great fun for the whole family!

The High School's traditional Homecoming Parade occurs each fall, showcasing the best of Silsbee's small town, all-American way of life.
Silsbee is one of the most affordable places in Texas to live and buy a home.
Silsbee is known for its small-town feel and sense of community. Discover how a community should be as you meander through the revitalized Downtown District. Stop by locally owned shops and have lunch at a local diner. No need to feel rushed by the impersonal, corporate franchise. Here, you’ll be welcomed by small town charm. Or perhaps catch a movie at Silsbee’s Pines Theatre. Known to locals as having a great family atmosphere, the theatre has been in business since the late 1940’s and is a local treasure. Unique, in that it has kept its old world feel and supposedly haunted by the original owner, but don’t let that dissuade you (he loved movies).
On Friday nights, join the hundreds of local families and fans to cheer on the Silsbee Tigers, our high school football team. Grab a hot dog or popcorn from the concession stands, run by teachers, coaches, and volunteers, and cheer for the maroon and white. At halftime, prepare to be dazzled by the award winning Tiger Marching Band and watch as the Tigerettes perform dance and kick routines with the traditional Texas boots, hat, and fringe. You can’t help but cheer along with the award winning Tiger Cheerleaders and don’t forget to get a picture with the mascot. It’s sure to be a night you won’t soon forget.
Weekends can be enjoyed by checking out the local farmer’s market. There’s no store bought produce with a price hike here- talk to the farmers who actually grew the food and learn what fresh really tastes like. If that is not to your taste, visit one of the many festivals Silsbee has to offer. From Cruise’N Silsbee, a charitable car, truck, and motorcycle show, to the Dicken’s Downtown Festival, a holiday themed festival with food, music, Christmas tree contest, and lighted parade, Silsbee has a festival to interest everyone in the family.
Sundays are quiet in Silsbee as those who practice the Christian faith head to one of over 30 churches. Even if you practice other beliefs, the sounds of the bells from the First Baptist Church of Silsbee will cause you to stop and listen as they ring out Christian hymns over the pine trees.
It’s no wonder so many people consider Silsbee home and the perfect place to raise a family. With a brand new (grand opening 2016), state of the art elementary school, fully equipped with the best in contemporary childhood educational practices, you’ll know your little ones are getting the best education to fit differentiated learning styles. From the art’s wing, with acoustically designed band hall and choir room, to the state of the art auditorium, from the fully equipped science laboratories, to the career and technical education center, where your child can learn anything from automotive repair and welding, to farming and livestock care.
